AUSTRALIA WINS FIVE GOLD, 13 SILVER AND SIX BRONZE STATUES AT THE

25TH ANNUAL LONDON INTERNATIONAL AWARDS

 

 

(London, 8 November 2010) The 25th LIA judging was held at the Wynn/Encore Hotel in Las Vegas, convening over a ten-day period. The juries, led by their respective Jury Presidents, viewed and scored every entry within their medium ensuring that all the work was judged equally. They concluded with final discussions to determine Grand LIAs, Statue Winners and Finalists.

 

This year, 14 Australian Companies were recognised for their superior entries to the 2010 London International Awards. In total they were awarded with 5 Gold Statues, 13 Silver Statues and 6 Bronze Statues and 19 Finalist.

 

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne win a Gold Statue and two Bronze Statues:

• Gold - Integrated Campaign for Guide Dogs Australia "Support Scent"

Bronze - Integrated Campaign for Yellow Pages - "Hidden Pizza Restaurant"

Bronze - Non-Traditional - Public Service/Social Welfare for Guide Dogs Australia "Support Scent"

They also attained a Finalist in The NEW Category

 

Three Drunk Monkeys win a Gold Statue and a Silver Statue

• Gold - Non-Traditional - Public Service/Social Welfare for The CancerCouncil of Australia

   "Sun Sound"

• Silver - The New Category for The Sun Sound

They also attained a Finalist for Television/Cinema/Online Film – Media Promotion

 

Exit Film Melbourne win a Gold Statue

• Television/Cinema/Online Film - Music Adaption for Daylesford "Double Life"

 

Grey Group Melbourne win a Gold Statue

• Television/Cinema/Online Film - Use of Licensed Music for Transport Accident Commission "Everybody Hurts"

They also attained a Finalist in Television/Cinema/Online Film – Public Service/Social Welfare


 

Paranoid@TheFeds, Sydney win a Gold Statue

• Television/Cinema/Online Film - Visual Effects for Optus "Secret Training Camp"

 

BMF Sydney win a Silver Statue

• Television/Cinema/Online Film - Music Original for Expedia "Housekeeping"

 

Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney win four Silver Statues

• Television/Cinema/Online Film – Campaign for Tooheys New "Nana", "Leak", "Fixing Things", "SMS" and

    "Helping a Mate"

• Television/Cinema/Online Film - Beverages – Alcoholic for Tooheys New "SMS"

• Integrated Campaign for Tooheys New

• Print - Consumer Campaign for Tooheys New "Sunscreen", "Yard" and "Reeling In"

They also attained four Finalists in Television/Cinema/Online Film

 

DDB Sydney win three Silver Statues and two Bronze Statues

• Silver – Radio – Campaign for McDonald's - A Little Bit Fancy Campaign "Buses", "Waitress" and "Valet"

• Silver – Print – Copywriting for AWARD "Call for Entries"

• Silver – Print - Art Direction for AWARD "Call for Entries"

• Bronze - Non-Traditional – Retail for McDonald's "Playland"

• Print – Corporate Image for AWARD "Call for Entries"

 

Droga5 Australia, Sydney win a Silver Statue

• Television/Cinema/Online Film - Beverages-Alcoholic for Victoria Bitter "Regulars"

 

Flagstaff Studios a Silver Statue

• Radio - Home Products for Chum "Car Ride"

 

George Patterson Y&R, Brisbane win Silver Statue

• Design - Annual Reports for SP Breweries "2009 Annual Report"

 

Leo Burnett Sydney win a Silver Statue

• Television/Cinema/Online Film – Public Service/Social Welfare for WWF "Monkey"   

They also attained two Finalists - one each for Integrated Campaign and Digital

 

Leo Burnett Melbourne win a Bronze Statue

• Radio - Retail Services for Seek.com.au "Holy Water Delivery Man"

 

Marketforce Communication, Perth win a Bronze Statue

• Radio - Public Service/Social Welfare for Office of Road Safety "Breathe"

Publicis Mojo Syndey attained four Finalists for Television/Cinema/Online Films

   and one Finalist for Print - Beverages – Alcoholic

 

WHYBIN/TBWA/TEQUILA Sydney in Digital – Pet Products/Care

 

• Animal Logic in Television/Cinema/Online Film - Visual Effects

 

• George Patterson Y&R, Melbourne in The New Category

 

CHE Melbourne in Television/Cinema/Online Film – Household Products

 

“Australian entrants have once again proven their creative superiority,” commented Barbara Levy, President of London International Awards. “They have won across all media. I would like to congratulate all the Winners.”

 

This year for the first time, LIA is honouring the Network of the Year, Agency of the Year and Production Company of the Year. These winners were decided based on the outstanding work chosen by the Juries across all media. The following is the Point System used to determine each honour:

Grand LIA = 5 points

Gold LIA = 4 points

Silver LIA = 3 points

Bronze LIA = 2 points

Finalist = 1 point

 

Network of the Year is Y&R

Agency of the Year is RCKR/Y&R, London

Production Company of the Year is MJZ

 

From the total number of 13,562 entries from 79 countries, only 0.6% won Gold; 0.87% Silver;

1.12% Bronze and 1.33% Finalist.
